Cue the Hallelujah Chorus
We've got a Kaleidoscope update my friends...Editing is FINISHED. I can't tell you how good that feels. I fixed my last edit, turned to my husband with raised arms in the air and he asked, "done?" I nearly cried. I did however, do a little dance while chanting, it's finished! over and over and over.
Now we get down to the final steps! With shaking hands I sent the book in to get my copyright and queried the formatting peoples. I almost felt like I couldn't do it. The voices inside my head were going at it. Can the book actually be finished? It's seriously complete? Maybe I should go over it one last time to be sure. But I know if I keep going back I'll never get it out there, so there's no turning back now. Out of the 10+ books I've started I've NEVER been able to complete a book before. And now there is an end in sight! Once the formatting peeps get back to me I can give ya'll a more concrete release date. YAY!
In case you're just getting familiar with Kaleidoscope here is the synopsis:
"Was I still a human? Gosh I still wanted to be human. Even just to keep a sliver of whom I thought I was. But as I thought about being human, standing in the shade of the forest, I felt less human than ever. The trees fought for my allegiance."
It starts in her chest. The change Calliope doesn't see coming. It pulses like a second heartbeat, urging her to give in to the need to be in the depths of the forest. She's compelled to fight the pull, but the more she denies it the stronger it becomes until she finally surrenders and is pulled into a secret world of enchantment.
Kai and Declan need her to accept what she is, but with everything left unsaid, acceptance may be the least of their worries. Knowing their fate lies in her hands, they'll stop at nothing to protect and prepare her for what lies ahead.
Will Calliope be able to accept what Kai and Declan reveal or will her desire to be normal keep her from acknowledging her true destiny?
